What problem does the SwitchBot Bot solve?
It automates things that were never designed to be automated. A smart bulb assumes you are willing to replace the bulb; a smart switch assumes you are willing to rewire the wall. In a rented flat both assumptions can fail - the fitting may not take a standard bulb, and rewiring is not yours to do.
The Bot sidesteps the question entirely by keeping the original hardware and adding a finger.
